This metal bookmark is inspired by one of Kitagawaas Utamaro's "beauties" in the triptych of courtesans and children along the riverbank in the city of Edo. The style of Japanese art has been referred to as ukiyo-e or the art of the Floating World. Featuring a geisha with a fan, this bookmark is created from solid brass that has been electroplated with gold with a design that has been giclee printed.
