Christmas Santa and his Reindeer SleighingIt Luminary Lanterns set the mood in any space with the addition of water and water-activated, floating LED candles. These durable, plastic luminaries feature classic designs, suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Dating back to the 3rd century, Saint Nicholas is known as the patron saint of children and sailors. His feast day, December 6th, included the tradition of gift giving, and eventually merged with the Christmas celebration With the publication of Clement Clarke Moore’s “Twas the Night Before Christmas” in 1822, Santa became known as a “jolly old elf.” This inspired cartoonist Thomas Nast, who first drew the cherry, white-bearded man in a red suit with a sack of toys in 1881. The image was further refined in 1931 by Coca Cola. Portly, in a red suit with white trim, black belt and boots, this is how we see Santa today as he flies in his magic sleigh.

Materials: BPA free plastic.  Includes: 4 luminaries, 4 LED candles and 4 lithium batteries per package. Luminaries arrive flat and expand with water. Care : Rinse with water and dish soap. Leave open to dry, store flat.
