This small tree is mighty in weight. The solid glass green tree is handblown, then while it is still hot, is sprinkled with millefiori glass "ornaments" that are made in Murano, Italy. Red, green and white colored tiny ornaments are painstaking to make, but their designs are incredibly ornate. Millefiori literally means "thousand flowers" and is created when rods of different colored layered glass is cut crosswise revealing a flower design. Created in Corning, New York at the Vitrix Hot Glass Studio.
