The inspiration for these rosette earrings is a detail from a gold earring made during the Abbasid caliphate (750-1258). Considered a "golden age" of Muslim art, it was a distinctive style that combined Byzantine elements. It was later know in the west as "arabesque". The finish is a solid brass, electro-plated with gold finish, ear wires are gold plated. A premium black gift box and provenance card are included. Designed and made in the USA.
