Handmade by artist Christopher Brody the small bud green vase is a simple, but complex vase. The complexity of the vase stems from the process to create it. In Brody's studio in Southern California, the vase takes shape by a slip cast method using handmade plaster molds. Afterwards, the vases are smooth and ready to be carved. After carefully carving the botanical design, the green glaze is applied to the outside with concentration to the carved areas. Next, the glaze is wiped off to reveal the smooth porcelain finish resulting in a fresh and modern feel. A dark blue glaze is added to the inside for a nice contrast. Artist signature is on the bottom of the vase.
Dimensions : 7" tall x 4" in diameter at the widest part of the vase.
